Whether you believe in supernatural forces or not, there are certain incidents that completely freak you out. Their unusual nature is beyond comprehension which leaves you totally baffled.

Similarly, we may sometimes come across creepy photos that cannot be explained. Even though there may be a logical reason and clarification for the visuals that appear to be abnormal, but at the first glance, they are bound to make you scream in horror.

In this article, we will be sharing some spooky photographs that we found on the internet and try to come up with an explanation for each one. If you think, you have what it takes to view and discuss these slightly terrifying photographs, continue reading.

Absolute horror

Let’s admit, we would all be horrified to come across human beings without facial features. Imagine running into someone while doing groceries. As you lift your gaze to apologize to them, all you see is a plain, white, even surface without any eyes, nose or lips. We bet the thought is as creepy as the photograph above.

However, the most logical reasoning for the picture could be that either the subjects are wearing masks (which is more likely in view of a white layer appearing on the man’s jawline), or an error might have occurred while clicking the photograph, making it appear blurred in an unusual way.

A unique resting place

You might think of the above as a creepy photo that cannot be explained.

After all, who in their right mind would want to rest in a cemetery while still alive?

However, the original poster shared a story that the picture is of her uncle lying on one of the revolutionary war graves after he got too drunk at a nearby bar.

Now you see there is a reason they tell you to drink within limits.

Practicing the art of being creepy

Some kids love adventures. Since childhood, they enjoy exploring dangerous opportunities and like confusing people by posing for creepy photos that cannot be explained.

The child in the above photograph appears to be no different. Not only is she holding her stuffed toy upside down, but also wearing a mask similar to fictional space characters portrayed in movies. The deserted surroundings add a further mysterious touch to the entire scenario.

Floating skull

The above photograph was taken during a girls’ night out. Considering the fact that the shot was clicked at a bar, it is no surprise that there would be other people roaming around in the surroundings. However, what makes this photograph horrifying is the fact that the skull of the person that appears behind the girl seems to be floating in the air without any body.

At the first glance, the most probable thought would be that it is a ghost. However, it may also be the case that it is an actual person who just happened to be passing by without knowing about the photograph being clicked. Therefore, as he turned around or moved quickly, the rest of his body`s image got lost in the blurriness.

Who`s thumb is that?

A confusing element in this creepy photo that cannot be explained is the appearance of an extra fist – the one with a pointed-out thumb, appearing above the left shoulder of the boy in black shirt. The reason it leaves everyone petrified is that the thumb/fist does not seem to belong to any of the guys present in this picture. Therefore, the thought of a supernatural being present at the location is quite frightening. However, it may also be the case that it is a planned mischief by naughty teenagers who managed to hide one of their friends behind themselves and only his fist was purposely made to appear in the photo to confuse people.

Voodoo dolls or children’s toys?

Amongst all the spooky and weird pictures, we came across, this one was the creepiest.

Probably, it’s just an image of a child who got tired while playing with her dolls and fell asleep.

However, the excessively large number of dolls and the way they are placed surrounding the girl in a circle, make it appear as if they are either Voodoo dolls whose magic spell has put the girl to sleep for an indefinite time, or the girl herself is an evil character like Chucky Ray.

There are so many more creepy photos that cannot be explained flooding the internet. In fact, we ourselves keep clicking them accidentally, but the reason they do not freak us out is that we know the malfunction or background story that made them turn out to be spooky in the first place.
